I was so thrilled when the Style Me Pretty's email newsletter featured a little shoot I put together. I find inspiration everywhere for creating photographs, for decorating my home and garden, and for weddings!

Here is the story behind the inspiration for this photo shoot...

Wedding inspiration can be found anywhere.  One of my favorite memories as a child is eating pomegranates every fall.  I grew up on a small ranch that had all the fruit trees you could imagine.  Pomegranate trees happen to be one variety.  I loved putting on my old clothes, in case they got stained, and heading to the pomegranate trees.  I would pick them one at a time and crack each one open on a pointy rock in a nearby wall.  I would eat four or five at a time!

Pomegranates are used throughout this inspiration shoot and inspired the colors of red and green.  Textures are also found in the form of burlap, linen table linens, wood, twine, herbs, and grasses.  The bridal bouquet includes the red fruit, rosemary, wild grasses, and pine and is wrapped in burlap.  The grooms boutonniere is simply rosemary sprigs.  Guests are welcomed by a heart sign, red mercury glass votives lining the walk, and a basket of the red fruit.  Pomegranates double as favors for guests and hold wood coin place cards.  Dessert includes dark chocolates and a chocolate cake topped with a pomegranate and sugared fruit. The evening ends with guests lighting the exit with fun sparklers.
